Our History

Our History | A Distillation Heritage Dating Back to 1881

The story of Tek Rakı dates back much further than our modern facilities in Europe, to 1881. This is the year our family's passion for the art of distillation began, the year the first copper still met fire.

Roots and Heritage (1881 - 1950)

The first formulas, shaped by a master distiller in the late 19th century, were kept secret for generations. The goal at the time was to achieve "perfect balance" by using only the purest grape suma and the finest anise. This craft was passed down from father to son, from master to apprentice, becoming ever more refined with each generation.

A New Horizon: A Journey to Germany (1980s - 2000s)

Towards the end of the 20th century, the third generation of our family decided to combine this unique heritage with a global vision. They decided that Western Europe, the world's largest winemaking institution, was the ideal place to elevate quality standards while preserving traditional flavor, and that this was where the world's highest-quality grapes were located. This meant bringing rakı culture to Europe, the center of craft and quality.

The Birth of Tek Rakı and Modern Facilities (Today)

Our modern production facilities, established in Western Europe, combine the traditional know-how inherited from 1881 with 21st-century technology. While preserving the distillation technique in copper stills inherited from our ancestors, we have adopted the most advanced technology for process control and quality assurance.

Today, Tek Rakı is a synthesis of over 140 years of experience and European excellence. Our slogan, "We Bring the Most Selected Turkish Raki to European Tables," is an expression of our commitment to this deep-rooted heritage and our unwavering understanding of quality.
